Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning: Pierre & Tana Matisse Scholarship

The Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL) received a grant from the Pierre & Tana Matisse Foundation to support scholarships for arts students at Queens College. This is a 2-year award of $5,000 per year. This application is to secure one of five student nomination spots. If selected as a nominee, students will then be nominated to the JCAL as a scholarship candidate.

Eligibility:
- Have a minimum of 2.5 on a 4.0 GPA scale.
- Reside or be a permanent resident of one of the NYC five boroughs.
- Be enrolled full-time as junior for the 2025-2026 academic year.
- Have completed the FAFSA application for 2025-2026 and demonstrate unmet financial need.
- Majoring in arts disciplines: studio art, graphic design, illustration, animation, photography, film and video, theater, music, dance, art history, art education, art therapy, fashion design, and creative writing.
