Sol Berkowitz Memorial Scholarship End, Established by the Class of 1982 & Supported by his Students

The gift will be used to provide scholarship awards each academic year to a rising sophomore, junior or senior pianist, matriculated in the B.A. or Mus.Ed. programs who would most benefit from an award to extend the length of private lessons. The preference is to make these awards to pianists, but the faculty has the discretion to provide awards to students who play other instruments. Each award will provide for extended private lessons for one year and no awards will be granted for any other purpose. If sufficient funds become available in the future, additional awards may be granted in the same manner. The recipient will be chosen on academic merit and/or financial need, at the discretion of Queens College faculty.
